1k Cranes

Welcome to the Flock Spotter and main page of my 1K cranes project!

This is where I will track the reports and sitings of the cranes I let out into the world. I hope they have many amazing journeys and make many new friends and family members. I hope my flock gets to explore the far reaches of the world.

Have you found one of the brood?  Please contact me or comment on the blog post for the crane you’ve found. There should be a tag number written on the wing to help in tracking.  If you don’t wish to comment on the site, please email me or find me on Instagram, Facebook, Steemit or Twitter. I would love to know and share the stories of the adventures the birds go on. I don’t need and won’t share any personal information. I am looking for updates and stories of their travels.

I will be posting updates and information about all the cranes as I create them and as they start and continue their journeys.

Keep an eye out for Specialist birds. Some will want to keep traveling, others will have destinations they want to get to. Some will be earrings, some will be large, some made from copper. Most will be paper that I gift, leave or hide when I travel or find people and places that I connect with. Some will be hidden left to be found. A lot will be figured out along the way.

Adopt the Flock
Some of the flock is up for adoption, either looking for their forever roost (or should it be home?) or a travel companion. Please visit the adopt the flock page for more information.

Support The Flock
Would you like to support the flock? Please visit the support the flock page.

Suggest a roost or migration path
Have a location or idea for a member of the flock? Let me know. Browse through the flock’s progress on the flock spotter blog posts to see if there is already a member of the flock migrating that way.

If you have a cool idea, an amazing adventure planned, or an event or cause and would like to be part of the flock, let me know, and we will see if I can have a member join you. I am excited to share this adventure with you!
