1,000 Cranes Project

May 23, 2019 by Robert Gulick Leave a Comment

Sharing origami has been something I have done my whole life. It has lead so amazing interactions through out my life. I’ve probably made a few thousand cranes over the years, but have never finished folded 1 thousand cranes with intent as a single project.  The concept of a flock of 1k cranes with a purpose is something that as been something I’ve wanted to do for a while.

My goal is to spread my origami like I always have, while I travel, places I frequent, to my friends, and to new friends I’m just making the acquaintance of. These interactions have often made for wonderful experiences and stories. I thought this maybe one way I can share those store with all those who are part of them.

Most of the cranes will be paper, although I will be making some special cranes form different materials.

For more information, to report a sighting, or to check out the flock as they migrate, please visit the Flock Spotter! ( apolymath.com/1kcranes )
