While working on the potted plants, the daffodils wanted to be desk lamps. Daffodils are bright and cheerful, embodying the essence of early spring. When I was initially working on this project, it was around the time of year when Noreen and I like to visit the botanical gardens and sit in the daffodil fields. There’s a magical beauty to spring as you sit there, camera in hand, capturing the symmetry, colors, and landscapes. It’s a wonderful experience—if you ever get the chance to lay in a field of daffodils, I highly recommend it. The aroma is beautiful, and it’s good for the soul.

I wanted to capture that light, joyful happiness and beauty with the potted stained glass daffodils. The idea of adding an LED to let them glow and radiate that feeling all the time was irresistible. I was fortunate to receive feedback on details, functionality, and colors, which helped refine the piece. Usually, I make prototypes and keep them for myself, but this time I was able to get . I’m glad the first one found a home with Ellie.
