Wire Trees

I started making wire trees as an experiment to figure out a grapevine handle for the woof mugs I make. It took a while for me to learn how to control the structure enough to be able to get the shape I wanted. Some where along the way I got pretty good at making them and started making them for their own sake. I find drift wood and large glass chunks in the Delaware river, which I use to mount my trees on. I do occasionally mount them on rounds I cut from logs fallen in the yard and other materials that woke well for bases.
